My Last Week!
Tuesday, August 28th, 2007Well, this is my last week in Bintulu, and I am really at a loss for words. I am really sad at the thought of leaving, but it seems like it just hasn’t hit me yet. It is wierd, like I’m gonna wake up on Monday morning and nothing will be different. But I think it will really hit on Sunday, at church. It will be Fast & Testimony meeting, so I will get up to bear my testimony. I haven’t ever cried at any of my other transfers on my mission, but I’m not sure what will happen. I will really miss all of the people here in Bintulu. There are really good ones here. I will be going to Singapore on Monday, Sep 3rd. I hope to meet up with some of the people I knew there. Romesh has already contacted me about meeting, and I am way excited to see him again. I hope that I will get to see a lot of them. I will also be eating my release dinner with President and Sister Skelton, but I’m not sure which day or when. I am mostly healthy now, and I am very thankful for that. I am wayyyyyyy excited to see Kendall and Chantelle and Mom again. It will be way awesome to see the family. I am also looking forward to seeing my best bud Paul again. He is coming in from Florida just to see me! Awesome! And I am excited to see all my friends again who are now in College and Working in St. George. For anyone who may be reading this who wants my address and information, here it is:

Almost Done…
Tuesday, August 21st, 2007Well, this is my second to last time to be updating this before I leave. It feels kind of wierd, but it is still 2 weeks away, so I am not getting trunky yet. Honestly, I haven’t packed a thing yet, haha. I am feeling much better now, not nearly as sick, just a small cough now. We are still very busy here in this area, and lots of people to teach. I am excited because this weekend we have two families getting baptized! I love to see families get baptized, it is just such a wonderful spirit.
Today all of the elders and sisters had an activity over at the Roberts’ house. We made kites from sticks, string, and garbage bags, then we went to the nearby field to fly them. It was a lot of fun. I’ve never made a kite before, but it actually flew! I was surprised! And of course we ate. MMMM, really good food. I am really tired now though. Just wanna go to sleep, but can’t cause still have 3 appointments tonight. I still have to go shop for groceries too. Bleh. Ok, I better go now.

Another Week -Bad Keyboard
Tuesday, August 14th, 2007Sorry guys, my keyboard is really bad today, so not much to type today. Here are the pics I uploaded from this week:
I’m feeling better, not as sick anymore, so that is good. Just a small cough now. Thanks for all the prayers! I love you all! My Home-Coming will be on Sep 9th, 2007 1 pm at the Toquerville Church, in case anyone is wondering. I get home Sep 5th, late.
Another Week in August
Tuesday, August 7th, 2007Well, another week has come and gone, and this time I am on a computer that can upload pictures, so I’ll add them after I upload them. I got my return flight itinerary last week. I’ll be going from Singapore to Hong Kong, then to San Fransisco, then to Las Vegas. I’ll be getting into Las Vegas about 7 something PM on Sep 5th. It is cool cause I will be leaving Hong Kong at 4 pm Sep 5th, and get to San Fransisco at 1 pm Sep 5th. So I’ll actually go back in time a little bit. haha. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get released Sep 5th that night, but it would be cool if I could.
Oh yeah, it was my sister Chantelle’s birthday in July, and Kendall’s on the 9th of August. She turned 17, and he will be turning 15. Crazy! I wish them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Things are really starting to go well in the area here, and we have a lot of good investigators right now. Especially two really good families, Christopher Family and Bungai Family. The dads both smoke and drink, so they will need to overcome it before they get baptized, but they are really trying hard and are coming to church and are excited to be baptized soon. They are amazing! We also had a really cool activity last week, and also a baptism. It was a lot of fun, and really good. I interviewed a 9 year old girl named Novia for baptism yesterday, and she is really the smartest and most golden 9 y/o I have ever met. her prayer was so sincere. She asked me to baptize her, which kinda shocked me, but I asked her if she was sure, then agreed when she said yes. So that is kind of a spiritual highlight there. Among the many others every day.
My morale is still high, and I am really happy being here, but also really excited to be going home soon. I’m mostly excited to 1) See Friends and Family 2) Be able to listen to music, swim, drive, etc again and 3) Date of course! haha
I am still working hard though, so don’t worry. Maybe too hard, actually. I’m still a little sick, but hopefully I will get all way the better before I go home.
Anyways, I don’t have too much time today either. I plan to be doing some souvenir shopping soon and to say my goodbyes to everybody. I will really miss this place, and I know that a piece of my heart will always be here in South East Asia. I love the people, the culture, and the language.
I am also planning to try to see some of the people I knew from Singapore while I am there, so all you people in Singapore, be ready, I might just drop by! Hehe. Well, I guess that’s it for today. Here’s some pics and stuff:
